Protection Statement.

• RailChoice acts as agent for the railway carrier(s). Any form of transport provided, depends on the conditions of carriage of the particular carrier. These conditions may limit or exclude the carrier's liability to you under international law.
• RailChoice act as agent for European and Non European Railways; in doing so we merely pass on to customers rules and conditions set out by the relevant railway/s in use.
• When a railway service involves two or more railways belonging to different countries, the rules and conditions set out in the CIV (Convention concerning the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Rail) will come into force; the CIV may contain limitations on liability to you.
• Information on availability and specific fares is only valid at the time of the enquiry and cannot be guaranteed afterwards.
• Fees may be added to the price of some products and bookings, mainly where payment is made by credit or charge card.
• RailChoice is not responsible if the train or service is delayed or cancelled for whatever reason. We will do our best to arrange for a refund whenever possible, and at the respective railways own discretion.
• RailChoice will post rail passes and tickets to customers in the UK by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Royal Mail First Class - whichever the customer chooses, and to customers outside the UK using either Royal Mail 'International Signed For' or 'Airsure' services, or via a courier company to be decided from time to time. These postage methods have been chosen to ensure the highest possible level of service to our customers. Charges might be applicable for all or some of these services, in all cases packages are always posted at the customer's own risk. RailChoice does not own or have control over Postal services and Courier companies. In the unlikely event that a package goes missing, or does not arrive, RailChoice will make every effort to re-issue the passes or tickets (if said pass or ticket rules allow so), or to arrange a re-issue at the customer's expense.
• Rail passes and tickets provided by RailChoice, in many cases can only be booked and issued up to a maximum of two months in advance of the travel date. Some passes (notably for countries outside Europe) can be issued 6 months or more in advance. Please check the relevant pages or contact us on sales@railchoice.co.uk.
• The re-issue of rail passes and tickets is not possible if lost or stolen. Railways do not allow this for security reasons. There are some exceptions however, please check the relevant pages on this site or contact us on sales@railchoice.co.uk We recommend buying insurance to cover yourself in the unlikely event that your pass is lost or stolen.
• Certain rail passes and tickets are not refundable once they have been issued. It is the customers' responsibility to enquire whether refunds are permitted prior to booking. Some passes are generally refundable if sent back to RailChoice before the start of their validity, less applicable administration and cancellation fees. • Some passes can only be refunded, or can be partially refunded, after the start of their validity date under exceptional circumstances and subject to applicable cancellation and administration fees. Please apply through sales@railchoice.co.uk  
• Neither RailChoice, nor the railways involved accept liability if you cannot travel because you do not have the correct documents including passport and visa where applicable
• If you wish to change the booking made, or some aspect of it, you should contact us immediately and we will try to accommodate your required changes subject to availability.
• If you book through a travel agent any advice given to you which is not based on advice given by RailChoice is the responsibility of the agent. As a result RailChoice do not accept any liability if you receive incorrect advice in these circumstances.
• RailChoice reserves the right to revise these conditions at any time. Whilst RailChoice will make every effort to keep customers aware of changes, RailChoice will not be liable if these conditions are breached at any time.

Data Protection Statement.

• In order to process your booking and to ensure your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we need to use the information you provide (such as name, address, passport number, date of birth, any special requirements etc).
• We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as rail operators, transport companies etc.. The information provided may also be passed on to public authorities such as customs and immigration if required by them, or as required by law.
• Additionally, where your travel arrangement is outside the European Economic Area, controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in the UK or Europe. We will not however pass any information on to any person who is not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us, such as details of any disabilities or religious/dietary requirements. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot confirm your booking. In making this booking you consent to this information being passed to the relevant person/s.
• We will hold your details, where collected by us, and we may use them to inform you of offers in the future.
